The team at Fine Spirits Auction would like to take this opportunity to wish all our clients the best for 2026. We want to show our gratitude to you for placing your trust in us in ever-increasing numbers. We’re kicking off this year with a major new launch on the platform: automatic bid extension. This new feature will be available for you to discover from the first sale of the year, which will bring together XXX bottles from all corners of the world.
An extensive selection
This first sale gathers iconic names in spirits across all categories. We can tease the likes of Macallan, Springbank, Clynelish, Glendronach, Weller, Karuizawa, Hibiki, and Nikka for whiskies. Rums certainly aren't left out, with Caroni, Hampden, British Guiana via El Dorado, Velier and the Cedro series, being a small selection of the many bottles you could get your hands on.
On the topic of French spirits, Chartreuse also answers the call with superb bottles from the 1920s, 40s and 50s. You can also expect to see Hennessy, Martell, and Grand Marnier, alongside some of the finest examples of rhum agricole, like Savanna, Bally (1957), J.M, St James, Bielle, La Favorite, etc. We should also certainly not forget triple-cask whiskies, notably a selection of remarkable bottlings from Kornog and Armorik.
A new feature to enhance the auction experience
Until now, it had not been possible to outbid after the closing time of a catalogue on Fine Spirits Auction. Previously, the sale definitively finished at a pre-advertised time, with the highest bidder being the successful winner.
However, in order to replicate the practices of a more traditional auction room, we have now put in place an automatic bid extension, also known as Overtime Bidding.
How it works:
This feature increases your chances of winning a bid. If you are absent, you still have the option of using automatic maximum bidding.
