In this autumnal auction, Fine Spirits Auction offers a diverse selection ranging from traditional French eaux de vie (made from liqueurs, sugar cane juice, and grape must) to whiskies and rums from around the world. Enthusiasts and collectors alike will have no trouble unearthing their hidden treasures among the 825 bottles on offer.
Let’s start with Agricultural Rums and a stunning collection from La Favorite, ranging from the late 1980s to the early 2000s. These Flibustes come well escorted: Trois Rivières, Bally, Clément and bottles of Neisson join the fleet.
After delights made from sugar cane juice, it’s time for grape must: some of the eaux de vie on sale predate phylloxera, with the oldest Cognac dating back to 1858. You’ll also find iconic bottles from prestigious houses such as L’Or de Martell, Hennessy Paradis and Rémy Martin Louis XIII.
In the whisky selection, the Hanyu Card Series is back with a Ten of Diamonds, alongside other Japanese icons: Karuizawa Noh and Yamazaki Elephant, to name just a few. Scotland doesn’t disappoint either, allowing Sherry to influence its spoils: Macallan Gran Reserva, Strathisla 1960, and Glendronach Single Cask.
World rums are also well represented, with Velier taking the lead with the Demerara collection and a superb UF30E 1985. You’ll also have the chance to bid on a Destino, bottled for the 70th anniversary of the Italian house, born from the close collaboration between Richard Seale and Luca Gargano.
Happy bidding everyone!
