Auction report - February 2024 auction

From everyone here at Fine Spirits Auction, thank you once again for putting your trust in us for this latest edition. Some 90% of the 900 lots under the hammer found a buyer, with some great surprises heralding a more dynamic market in 2024.

The two main players at this auction were Cadenhead and Chartreuse.

Cadenhead’s Scotch whiskies offered some outstanding opportunities, which you were quick to snap up. 95% of the 354 lots available received an average four bids, achieving an average hammer price of €151.

Chartreuse had an even better edition, with 98% of bottles finding a buyer and a record number of 36 bids for an M.O.F. 2022 (€407).

Macallan also enjoyed encouraging results, with half of the bottles presented fetching above their high estimate. Additionally:

A Lagavulin 1991-2016 went for €3,695—more than double its high estimate;

Hibiki 21 Year Old: €1,550;

Yamazaki 18 Year Old: €1,335.

The next edition of FSA is set to launch on 29 March. Please get in contact if you would like to submit bottles for the upcoming sale.
