The 25th edition of Fine Spirits Auction sees the return to the platform of a great number of legendary series. Discover more than 900 lots available online until 10 April.
In the rhum agricole category, some very old vintages are back from various leading producers, including Depaz 1929, Trois rivières 1953, HSE 1960 and La Flibuste 1984. This isn’t the only expression from La Favorite, however, and it comes accompanied by the vintages 1992 and 1993 and a Privilège bottling.
In molasses rum, a medley of Velier bottlings also go under the hammer. Among these are expressions from the Demerara collection, discontinued in 2015 (Diamond, Enmore, Port Mourant, Uitvlugt), and Caroni expressions from the Official Release range, the classic aged range and the Employees series.
Velier’s Foursquares also get an outing, with versions such as Principia, Patrimonio and Sassafras.
Whisky is another category to look out for, with the chance to get your hands on one of Japan’s finest ranges, the Hanyu Card Series, represented at this auction by two jokers. Karuizawa Vintage Labels are also available as well as the range illustrated by Yuuka Yamada for La Maison du Whisky. Nikka too brings us a great array of rare single casks from Yoichi, Miyagikyo, Coffey Grain and Coffey Malt. Scotland’s independent bottlers equally put in a good innings, with old vintages from Gordon & MacPhail and the return of the Prestonfield range which marked the beginnings of Signatory Vintage. And, for official bottlings from iconic distilleries, Port Ellen, Lagavulin, Bowmore, Brora, Ben Nevis, Glenfarclas and Clynelish all make an appearance.
French spirits are always an important category at FSA, with the rhum agricoles mentioned above accompanied this auction by someone outstanding Chartreuses, notably the legendary bottlings from the range Une Chartreuse, produced in a method similar to the solera system. In the world of cognac, Hennessy monopolizes the number one spot with top-flight limited editions such as Paradis, available not only in the classic format but also in a magnum and a decanter designed in partnership with architect Daniel Libesking.
Have a great auction!
