Spirit heritage!

For this new Fine Spirits Auction sale, over 900 bottles illustrate the rich and diverse heritage of fine spirits. From distilleries no longer in operation to the current most coveted bottlings, this selection should delight the most seasoned enthusiasts and collectors.

Japan impresses immediately with a remarkable Karuizawa set. Among the most anticipated lots are a 1970 Karuizawa bottled by Number One Drinks, several Noh editions from the 1980s as well as a Karuizawa Artifices. These bottles bear witness to the unique status acquired by the distillery since its closure in 2000.

Scotland then rolls out some of its most coveted names. Macallan takes centre stage with a series spanning several decades: the 1955 and 1966 historical, a 1965 Crystal Decanter, the famous 18 Year Old Gran Reserva from 1971, 1972, and 1979, and not forgetting Reflexion. Several distilleries that have now closed their doors complete this collection, notably 1969 Kinclaith, 41 Year Old Ladyburn, Brora in its 35 and 38-year-old versions as well as a 1982 Port Ellen selected for La Maison du Whisky. Islay enthusiasts will also find old bottlings of Bowmore, Ardbeg, and Laphroaig.

Independent selections also hold an important place in the catalogue. Glen Grant is distinguished through several exceptional bottles signed by Gordon & MacPhail and La Maison du Whisky, while Glenfarclas, Glenlivet, Glendronach, Glenfiddich, and Rosebank illustrate the full diversity of Scotland.

The fine collectable rums are not to be left out. Velier is well represented with several Caroni, including the legendary Full Proof and Stock of Barrels editions. Historic Demerara also holds a special place with Port Mourant, Uitvlugt, Enmore, Diamond and a remarkable 1974 Demerara Silver Seal. The French Antilles respond with emblematic bottlings from Neisson, La Favorite, and J.M.

France also stands out through several particularly sought-after bottles. Chartreuse enthusiasts will notably find a rare Tarragona Green, a VEP Green bottling 1968 Olympique, 2003 Épiscopale as well as the edition 2016 Une Chartreuse. Cognac and Armagnac complete this panorama with an exceptional 1906 Cognac Grande Champagne Prunier, a 1925 Armagnac Jean Cavé and the always sought-after Hennessy Paradis.

From the Chartreuse Mountains to the Highlands, from Islay to the Caribbean, from Karuizawa to Caroni, this auction brings together rare witnesses to the history of spirits.

An invitation to explore several generations of savoir-faire through some of the most significant bottlings of their era.

Happy bidding!
